Sketch Frenzy Friday, Warm My Heart

Hello!  Although it's been cold here, we've enjoyed the sunlight the past few days.
I hope you are staying warm.
It's a great time to stay in and stamp or scrapbook!
You can use Kim's sketch, to create something!
Thanks, Kim!

In keeping with the sunny theme, I made this card using a free Sale-A-Bration item. The Project Life Mini Card Collection can be used for more than scrapbooking.  It's fun to try the different sizes and prints on regular cards.  Of course, I was drawn to the sunny card.

Here's a (bad) picture of it from the side:
The heart punches were too big or too small, so I just cut out one by hand and did some doodling on it.  The sentiment from the Occasions Catalog's Sheltering Tree stamp set worked great with this card.

Supplies:
Stamps - Sheltering Tree
Ink - Island Indigo; Indigo and Pool Party markers; Uni-ball Signo gel pen
Cardstock - Island Indigo,  Daffodil Delight,  Pool Party,  SAB This Day Project Life mini card collection
Accessories - SAB Best Day Ever Accessories Pack (for ribbon), Brights Candy Dots, Stampin' Trimmer rotary addition, small scallop rotary blade

Sketch Frenzy Friday, Nature

Hello, stampers!  Thanks for coming to my blog. It makes me feel special!

Thanks, Patrice for this week's great sketch!

I chose to make a monochromatic card, using Moon Lake stamp set from the Occasions Catalog.  I did stamp the images on Whisper White cardstock, and I had trouble getting a good photo.  Sunlight was too bright, it made the whole card so light.  So I moved into the shadows.

The patterned paper I used is from the cover of the Stampin' Success magazine that demonstrators got this month.  (Another perk for demonstrators!)  I figured it was one of the DSPs in the Occasions catalog.  After making the card, I could not find it anywhere in the catalogs.  It can easily be replaced with another DSP or Pool Party cardstock lightly stamped all over.

I colored the stamps with SU! markers.  I cut out the duck image because it was too small to fit the square size, which is 1-1/4", and the mat is 1-3/8".

Supplies:
Stamps - Moon Lake
Cardstock - Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, Island Indigo, Whisper White;  DSP - (read above)
Ink: Bermuda Bay
Markers -Pool Party, Island Indigo
Accessories - Bermuda Bay 1/8" taffeta ribbon; Coastal Cabana- free ribbon from Best Year Ever Accessory Pack (SAB);  Brights button tied with a sliver of cardstock, dimensionals

I hope you get a chance to play with this sketch and add it to the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog, using the InLinkz at the bottom of today's post.

Stamp On! And have a great weekend!

Sketch Frenzy Friday, A Friend Loveth

Hello!  It's another Friday!  YAY!
The weekend is here and I am looking forward to a road trip to my sister's.  It will be fun, especially since I pretend her grandkids are mine and spoil them!

Thanks, Stacey, for today's SFF sketch:

And here's my card:

I wanted to play around with our SAB DSP,  Irresistibly Yours.  It is a white paper with a glossy white pattern and is perfect for coloring using a variety of techniques.  Coloring the background reveals the glossy pattern.  I brayered on Garden Green and Calypso Coral ink.  Be sure to wipe the ink off of the glossy part right away when you are finished.
I also tried the technique where I use a circle framelit that is trimmed first on the edges that extend past the framelit.  It was easier than I thought.
Supplies
Stamps - Banner Blessings
Ink - Garden Green, Calypso Coral
Cardstock - Garden Green, Calypso Coral, White,  Irresistibly Yours and Gold Soiree DSP
Accessories - Circle Framelits (4th from center);  2"and 2-1/2" circle punches; brayer, regals candy dots
Measurements for panels - 2-3/4" x 4-1/2" (after bottom end is trimmed),
2-1/8" x 3-1/2" (green panel),  2-1/4" x 1-7/8"

Create a card using our SFF sketch and be sure to add it to the SFF Blog using the link at the bottom.
Have an awesome weekend!
