Sketch Frenzy Friday, You Brighten My Day

Hello, stampers!  Not only is 2015, it's almost February!!
I better get started on those resolutions, huh?

Today's SFF sketch is from Jennifer Kay.  Thanks, Jennifer!

Here's what I stamped:
As you can tell, I stick pretty close to the sketch.  I try to make the sketch more mine, but going from an oval to a circle is not really creative.  I guess I need to get my confidence up again.

Although I love the Blackberry Bliss in color, it's a little too dark for my "bright" card.  Luckily, Rich Razzleberry is lighter and goes great with the Moonlight DSP.

I don't own the Banners framelits, so I usually just cut my banner ends by hand.  But I saw on the What's Up punch the arrow top is a great fit for those ends.  I punched my arrow top on the bottom of a piece of cardstock, then I trimmed the sides to make the pointy ends.  This way I could make the smaller banner skinnier by trimming the sides in more.  I find that I have used this punch more for banners than arrows.

Supplies:
Stamps - You Brighten My Day,  free! from Sale-a-bration pamplet
Ink - Rich Razzleberry;  Hello Honey and Blackberry Bliss markers
Cardstock - Rich Razzleberry, Hello Honey, Whisper White, Moonlight DSP
Accessories - 1-1/4", 1-3/8", 1-3/4" and 2" circle punches, dimensionals
Have a Happy and Bright Day!

Sketch Frenzy Friday, BE(YOU)TIFUL

Hello, everyone!
I have missed stamping so much!
But you know that kids interrupt stamping schedules all the time!
Our 20yo DD, Mandy was in the hospital over the holidays.  We are back at home for 2 weeks and have nurses, OT and PT that come interrupt every day!  But Mandy has made much progress.  Since she is getting stronger, she is resisting them quite a bit. :))

Today's Sketch Frenzy Friday sketch is from Kim Innis.  It's a fun sketch to work with.

I made 2 cards, love them both and have to share them both.
I think a skinnier ribbon would be more in proportion with the smaller flowers.

And here is my pink one:
The background of that top strip of DSP is supposed to be white.  It was a cloudy day when I snapped my pictures.  Inside is the same as the blue except it's pink.  I stamped off the Corner Garden background stamp first before stamping it on the Strawberry Slush using the Strawberry ink.

Supplies:
Stamps - Petite Petals, Corner Garden
Cardstock - All Abloom DSP,  Island Indigo, Pistachio Pudding, Whisper White and
Strawberry Slush, Blushing Bride
Ink - Island Indigo, Strawberry Slush
Accessories - Brights & Subtles candy dots, rhinestone jewels, Daffodil seam binding

Play along with me by adding your card based on this sketch to the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog.

Grateful to be Stampin',
Elizabeth K.
