Sketch Frenzy Friday, Seriously Love You

Hi, everybody!  It is Friday again and we have another SFF sketch.  This time Elizabeth Harris has provided a great sketch for us.  Thanks, Elizabeth H!

My card:
I placed the ribbon below the "scallops" instead of above.
Mostly I wanted to use this stamp set.
Because You Care is one of the hostess sets available in the Occasions Catalog.
One of the things  I love about this stamp set is the size of the sentiments.  Perfect to layer with circle punches or to use in the frame provided.  The border stamp is so pretty.  I used the border image for the corner also.  (Sorry, I thought the corner punch was still current.)

Supplies:
Stamps - Because You Care
Cardstock - Tangelo Twist, Blackberry Bliss, Pink Pirouette
Ink - Tangelo Twist & Blackberry Bliss;  Blackberry Bliss marker
Accessories - Blackberry Bliss ribbon, corners punch (retired), itty bitty accents punch pack, itty bitty accents epoxy stickers

I hope you are experiencing the beginnings of spring.
It's so nice to wake up to the birds chirping every morning.
Have a blessed day!

Friday Frenzy Sketch, A Calm Sea

Hi and welcome to another sketch from Sketch Frenzy Friday.
Terri Tank provided this cute sketch for us.  Thanks, Terri!

Here's the card I made:
I love the Adventure Bound DSP from the Occasions Catalog.  And the Adventure Awaits stamp set is so great with it.  I stamped everything using either Basic Gray or  Memento black ink, then came back and made shadows using the Stampin' Up! Chalk marker.  I love how the chalk really makes things pop off of the beautiful water background.
Here's another shot of the card:

Supplies:
Stamps - Adventure Awaits, Yee-Haw
Cardstock - Island Indigo, Bermuda Bay; Adventure Bound DSP
Ink - Basic Gray,  Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Stampin' Chalk Marker, Bermuda Bay 1/8" taffeta ribbon
I hope you will play along with us at SFF, using today's sketch.  Just add your card to the bottom of today's post using InLinkz.
Have a blessed day!

Sketch Frenzy Friday, Kind of You

I know it's March and I should be making Easter cards, but I rarely send out Easter cards.
Besides, I am not finished putting ink to other Occasions and SAB stamp sets!

This week's sketch is from Diana Eichfeld.  Thanks, Diana, for the sweet sketch.

On my card I used the stamp set Big on You from the Occasions Catalog.  I really love these big sentiments.   First time using these.  Since we don't have In Color Blackberry Bliss candy dots,  I used Perfect Plum from the Regals candy dots.  These colors are a "dynamic duo."

Supplies:

Stamps - Big on You, Boutique Borders
Cardstock - Soft Sky, Blackberry Bliss;  Park Lane DSP
Ink - Blackberry Bliss;  Soft Sky marker
Accessories - Blackberry Bliss stitched ribbon, Regals candy dots, glue dots, dimensionals

Please join us at the Sketch Frenzy Friday Blog!  You can add your card at the bottom of the post.

Have a great (and in our case, dry) weekend!

Sketch Frenzy Friday, Celebrate Splattering

Hi, everyone!  I didn't make it in time to post my card with the other design team members, so I am just adding my post to the In Linkz at the bottom of today's post on SFF.

This is a sketch that I made for this week:
One of the great things about being a part of Sketch Frenzy Friday is that I am learning how to make card sketches and how to adjust them for whatever card I am creating.

Here's my card:
It's hard to get a good picture of the sequins without them shining, but I did get it.
Do you have a great way to adhere sequins to a card?  I have tried several things, but nothing works that well.  For this card I used Crystal Effects, but I can see that it has leaked around the sequin once it dried.  What's worked for you?

Supplies:
Stamps - Celebrate Today, Gorgeous Grunge
Cardstock - Whisper White, Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey
Ink - Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey, Mossy Meadow
Accessories - Balloon Framelit Dies, In color sequin assortment, crystal effects, subltes candy dots, dimensionals

I invite you to try using my sketch and post it on the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog.
Have a blessed weekend!
