Sketch Frenzy Friday, Thank You Petals

Hi, everyone!
Here's my card for today's SFF sketch:

I used a new stamp set called Tin of Cards.  I don't have the Tin kit, yet.   I am really digging the sentiments in 2 different fonts.  And once again, I have pulled out the Pretty Petals 6"x 6" DSP stack.

Today's sketch is by Kathy Clark:

 Thanks, Kathy!
Supplies:
Stamps - Tin of Cards
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Cardstock - Basic Black, Calypso Coral, Very Vanilla, Pretty Petals DSP
Accessories -  1-3/4", 2", 2-3/8" circle punches, Pear Pizzazz 1/4" Cotton Ribbon

Use the sketch and add your creation to the bottom of today's post on SFF blog.
Thanks for stopping by!

Sketch Frenzy Friday, Happy Thoughts

One of the reasons I subscribe to the monthly kit, My Paper Pumpkin, is that I noticed last year how often the stamps, paper & embellishments coordinate with SU!'s products from the Annual Catalog.  Two other reasons:  there are more items in the kit now and I love surprises in the mail.  Today's stamp set and die cuts are from the June 2015 P.P.  I love how they so beautifully coordinate with the Pretty Petals 6"x 6" DSP stacks!

Don't you just love that sentiment?  Very pretty font!  I am into lettering and even started my own lettering art journal, which I may share here one day.
No picture of the inside of the card, but I used Vanilla cardstock with torn strips of the paper added to the bottom.

Thank you, Kim Innis, for the sketch:
This week's sketch uses washi tape.  I don't have any washi tape from the current catalog, so I used the patterned paper instead.  It's very pretty, and now I think I need to buy up all the new washi!

By the way, Pinterest has all kinds of ideas about making alternative cards & items from P.P. kits.

Well, you can use washi from your stash or maybe those pretty DSP leftover strips to make a card inspired from today's sketch.  Add your creation to the bottom of the post on Sff blog.  I would love to see what you use for the strips!

Have a Blessed and Happy Weekend!

Sketch Frenzy Friday, Good Things

Hello, everyone!  Thanks for taking time from your July 4th celebrations to check out my blog.

Today's card is one I made for my sister, Paula.  Although we live several hours apart, we still lift each other up when having a bad day.  One of the ways is to remind each other that "something good is going to happen today."

The sentiments in the "You've Got This" stamp set remind me of Paula.
I really like the cursive lettering in this one, and I like that this sentiment also has great print to go with it.

How festive is this template?!  Thanks, Kim!

Inside:

Stampin' Up's new patterned paper is so beautiful!  You get a glimpse of what the 4 sides look like with my card.  Love the updated wording!

Supplies
Stamps - You've Got This
Ink - Pacific Point
Cardstock -  Pacific Point, Whisper White, Brights Color Collections DSP
Accessories - Large Polka Dot embossing folder, bitty butterfly and elegant butterfly punches, 1-3/4" and 2" circle punches, 3/8" white stitched ribbon

Now that you have a little holiday free time, why don't you use the above template as an inspiration for a card and add a link to the bottom of today's SFF blog post so we can all enjoy it?

Happy Independence Day!
Be safe with your celebrating :)
