Punched Swap Card

Christmas card I made for the VC Rocks Punched Card Swap.  The sentiment frame is from the Holiday mini stamp set Tags Til Christmas.  It was punched with the Decorative Label punch, also from the Holiday mini catalog.  The Deck the Halls DSP is a style that is new to me.  I would call it Vintage Christmas.  I really stretched for this card.  It's great to challenge yourself every once in a while... once a year...maybe.
Have a blessed day!

Thank You, Baby!

Mandy, thank you baby for holding still for this picture.  Oh, wait, you weren't still - I had to hold your precious face!

This is a non-gross (is that even a word?) picture of Mandy's new forehead.  That little part that looks red is where it is.  It's just not pretty yet.
This is the last time I have to buzz her hair.  Now we can let it grow and do a comb over.  Or a Donald Trump look.  Hmm

Just a few Thank You Girl Baby Cards for an auction for the high school.

The topper for the cellophane bag I put them in.
2 Things:
1- I am not sure if you can see it, but the paper is very glittery.  It's so girly!
2- I learned how to put my name and copyright at the bottom on my new mac.
(Proud of me!)

Fall Scrapbooking Swap

These elements are for the Hot Swappin' Mamas 2 swapping group.  The theme for the swap is fall.
I loved using the Big Shot die cut and the embossing folders to make these textured leaves.

For this last chipboard leaf I used the heavy cardboard that came with this year's Valentine's specialty paper.  I'm sure it was to keep the glittered pieces all glittered and straight.  It is just as thick as the actual chipboard Stampin' Up sells.  I am so proud of myself for recycling.   Who knows, I might have saved a tree! (...or a branch...or a twig...)

Triangle Gift Box

Night of Navy and Daffodil Delight look delightful together.
I made this gift box in one of the VC Rocks classes.
It is very nice, but don't look inside.   (no candy and you would see the "messed up" side. Lol)

Z Fold Mini Book

I watched a long video of Laura's class about how to make this Z Fold Mini Book.  It was so much fun to make and embellish.  Her blog is at followingthepapertrail.blogspot.com

Here's the page where I found the instructions:
http://followingthepapertrail.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2010-05-22T09%3A51%3A00-07%3A00&max-results=7

To make the inside pages, I used 12" x 12" double sided designer series specialty paper, scored and folded it to make pockets.  It was so much easier than I thought.  Laura even has a page with all the dimensions.

Inside pages:

 1st page with tags

Pocket with pull large pull out tag.

I made this for my roomie for VC Rocks!  I hope she liked it as much as I liked making it.

Book of Me again

Another installment of Book of Me.  This was for a VC Rocks Tags & Toppers swap.  I know it sounds kind of conceited, but I was thinking that my kids have often seen me down on myself & so I thought it would be great to show them (or maybe their kids) that there are things I enjoyed in my life.  I did tape down the "me" with removable adhesive, in case someone wanted to use it for their loved one.

And here it is all on a finished page.  I will have to remember that when in a hospital, sitting for hours on end, it's easy to do journaling.  Why didn't I think of that before?  Better late than never, right?  :)
